Window Film Maintenance

Newly applied film requires 30 days to be dry and cured to reach its strongest potential. Once the film is dry and cured, it’s then safe for the film to be cleaned.

The following rules are to be followed accordingly and in the best possible way in order to maintain a good quality film finished on glass. All films are provided with scratch resistant coating to protect incidental scratch marks except abused scratched.

Do's

  • Clean the film using soft, lint-free cloths or towels.

  • Use a simple cleaning solution (e.g., water with a small amount of soap).

  • Clean with a squeegee, using overlapping strokes like cleaning car windows.

  • Normal strength glass cleaners are safe for cleaning the film.

Don'ts

  • Do not wash the window immediately after installation.

  • Avoid cleaners with ammonia as they can damage the film.

  • Do not use abrasive or industrial-strength glass cleaners.

  • Avoid hard materials with rough edges for cleaning.

  • Do not rub, glaze, or brush the film with rough edges.

  • Do not pick at the edges of the film to prevent lifting.
